The was a new-to-me author and the 1st book in the new Double Feature cozy mystery series. I enjoyed this book. The characters are likable, just your normal, average everyday type people. And who of us doesn't envy Elliott doing what he wants with his life even though it's not going quite as he planned. I mean he probably hadn't counted on the dead body in his theater. The clues are cleverly hidden and I didn't figure out whodunit until Elliott did. Book 2 is due out later this year so I'll be visiting with Elliott again.
P.S. If you're a fan of comedy, especially older black and white movie versions you should check out this series as Elliott is a serious fan and makes references throughout the book to actors, quotes and movies.
